The colors and meanings are: green (leaves - working for agender liberation), lime (limes - agender friendship, love, and community), yellow (lemons - agender joy and celebration), orange (oranges - agender artwork and creativity), and red (blood oranges - agender diversity and individual expression).

The genderqueer flag has three stripes coloured (from top to bottom) purple, white and green. Rather than try to replace Roxie's flag, another flag has come to sit along side it to represent those who wanted it.

It originally attempted to represent all non-binary and genderqueer people, however, as the genderqueer community grew the flag became synonymous with "genderqueer", thus leaving many non-binary people feeling forced under a label they didn't want. It underwent two other versions with the same color scheme in 2010. The final version of Marilyn Roxie's genderqueer pride flag was created in June 2011. Genderqueer flag designed by Marilyn Roxie.
